Measurement & Minimization of Vibrations and Noise
We deploy microphone arrays, vibration sensors, and edge control systems to reduce track noise and vibrations—especially on curves. Our hardware detects flat spots, rail wear, and mechanical stress to enable preventive maintenance and significant cost savings.
Mobile Remote Access & Control Management
For ABB, we equipped 70+ commuter trains in South Australia with Parametric RAR4 computers and a secure mobile remote access solution. The same system performs onboard control tasks and was successfully installed in a new depot in Adelaide. The result: remote diagnostics, live operational visibility, and optimized fleet usage.
Streaming Video to Legacy Systems
Older onboard displays in trains and buses often can’t decode modern streaming formats like H.264. Our system—used by Livesystems since 2014—downloads highly compressed content via mobile networks and streams it to legacy systems. With ~5 W energy consumption, it is ideal for compact refits.
QoS Monitoring of Ultra‑Low‑Latency Networks
Remote vehicle control requires mobile connectivity with stable uplink and low latency. For several Swiss transport operators, we conducted network measurements (5G, 4G TDD, tunnels) and developed hardware for autonomous mobile‑network monitoring. Our systems enable glass‑to‑glass video latency under 130 ms—suited to safety‑critical and remote operations.
